Following the success of last year’s celebrations, Godinymayin Yijard Rivers Arts and Culture Centre will again be producing the K-town Dance Massive as part of Territory Day 2016, supported by the Northern Territory Government.
K-town’s Dance Massivewill involve everyone and anyone who loves dancing or has a story to tell through dance, sport or movement.
No dance experience necessary, just lots of enthusiasm. And IT’S ALL FREE!
In the lead up to the event, professional dance artists will be coming to Katherine to lead workshops and create the show with local participants. The dance artists are:
- Bec Reid, Artistic Director and nationally renowned contemporary dancer
- Dion Brownfield from acclaimed company “Indigenous Hip Hop Projects” along with a number of his best professional dancers

To participate in the performance of K-town’s Dance Massive, performers will be required after hours at Nitmiluk Oval on the evening of the event, Friday 1 July.
